| Marsya and Iqbal practicing manufacture of liquid waste |
Semarang
- Three students SMA N 1 Holy namely Muhammad Iqbal, Marysa Rizqia
Chairunnisa and Rafif Eagle Danendra perform experiments and managed to
find a liquid disinfectant from tobacco waste and onion skin. Thanks to the findings, they are now preparing to compete in the United States.
The findings of the three students SMA N 1 Kudus named Bahtelitbang, abbreviation of tobacco waste and onion skin. Starting from school work, they analyzed the content of the waste is shredded tobacco leaves many in the area that has as the City of Kretek it. Then they combine with the onion skin.

"Actually using kettles (teapots) and the pipe can be but not the maximum. Then methanol which has been separated later be used again," he explained.
Materials that have been so mixed with distilled water and intangibles will be black liquid. Bahtelitbang as much as 1 milligram can be mixed with 100 milliliters of water and is ready to be sprayed on plants. From the experimental results, the samples of insects will die in four days and insecticidal materials produced by students SMA N 1 Kudus was also not harmful to plants.
"Bahtelitbang not harmful to the environment because no chemical residues are generated," said Regis.
Their findings have ever won the Indonesian Science Project Olympiad (ISPO) in January 2016 and won the gold medal. Next they will follow a similar event called Genius in the United States and compete with the findings of other students from 25 countries.
"Departing June tomorrow (to America). We wanted to show that we have this product," said Regis.
